Domaine Jean-Paul
Nathalie and Jean-Luc Millet are third generation winemakers, and have been keen to manage SCEA Du Briou, the family business, for more than 20 years, as they continue to perpetuate the work undertaken by founder Camille Millet, a farmer who began to work the vines in his possession after the Second World War.
The estate has grown steadily over the years, through the work of Jeannette and Jean-Paul Millet and now offers several Sancerre wines to their customers, thanks to the know-how acquired throughout their career.
Nestled in the heart of the Loire Valley, the AOC of Sancerre is best known for its brilliant, mineral expressions of Sauvignon Blanc, with the terroir of the area being rich with flint and a tangy acidity. Beyond Sauvignon Blanc, for three generations now, the Millet family has also been producing Sancerre Rouge with Pinot Noir and Pinot-based rosés.
All of this happens in a place called Le Briou, located on the road connecting Bourges to Sancerre, where the family passes down their expertise from generation to generation. The Millet family has developed its estate to extend today to over 14 hectares, located in the communes of Crézancy en Sancerre and Veaugues.
